Meet Our Staff

My name is Roxanna Mann and I am a licensed Operator through the Michigan Commission for the Blind Business Enterprise Program, of which the cafeteria in the General Operation Building is part of. While I am part of the Business Enterprise Program (which was provided by a Federal Act, called the “Randolph-Shepard Act”) I am independent of the Commission to maintain the facility as I deem best for the customers and myself.

Here is a little bit about myself. I am married and have three grown children, two daughters (borth married) and our son who is a Marine and attending UCLA. We have three grandchildren. I grew up in Lansing and graduated in 1981 from Lansing Baptist Schools. I attended over 3 years pf college. I worked for the Eaton County Courts for almost 18 years as a caseworker/investigator. I am a Certified Travel Counselor and have my own home-based agency (Suitcase & Sandals Travel – www.suitcaseandsandals.com). Most recently, I attended the Michigan Commission for the Blind Training Center in Kalamazoo for skills of blindness training and completed an extensive comprehensive training to become a licensed operator through the Business Enterprise Program. I was at the Michigan Hall of Justice and enjoyed a very successful operation there. I did the catering for the facility and truly enjoyed serving our customers.

Now…about Kristina Rae’s..An All-American Grill, LLC. My niece, Kristina Rae Smith, just passed away from glioblastoma (brain cancer) on September 3, 2011. Her goal was to work with me in an environment such as the GOB Cafeteria. So since she was not able to see this come to fruition, I am doing this in honor of her. She was 29 years old, married and has 3 boys; Jacob, Jr. (9), Jaden (8) and Tatum (20 months).

We appreciate and value your business as we strive to serve the best product we can, always mindful that you could be taking your business elsewhere!
